Corporate History
Parle was established in 1929 by Mohanlal dayal Chauhan. The company was a confectionery that made hard-boiled orange sweets. Parle began manufacturing glucose biscuits in 1939 and then supplied these to the British Army during the Second World War. After the declaration of independence in 1947 Parle began producing Glucose-based biscuits to the Indian market. The sugar biscuits quickly gained a lot of popularity and were transformed into Parle-G by the year 1980.
